My Dogs

Mayson

  • Breed: Chololate Lab
  • Age: 5
  • Handler: Erica Pierson

Tell us about your dog, where she/he is from, any interesting stories that you want to share?

Mayson is very smart, lots of energy, LOVES playing ball, Loves to swim! She is quick at learning things and runs like the wind. She figured out on her own, if someone throws her the ball up a hill she can just roll it back down to them and if it gets stuck, she hits it with her feet to roll it.

What is your dog’s dock dog jumping experience (if any)?

NONE......This is our first year, we haven't even been on a dock yet, But I have strong belief that she is going to love it and do really well.

What would your dog tell his/her friends about you?

That I am a talker when u get to know me, I can be a little crazy when it comes to my girls (labs) I am very active, I like hiking, walking, kayaking, just started running this year. I work with special needs kids which I very much love. I have 2 daughters one soon to be a Sophomore in college and the other one almost a senior in High School, my husband is a building contractor his hobby is racing. We both have our own hobbies and support each other, thats what keeps us strong.

Mylea is a mother hen, she is always making sure everyone is ok, and will try to help u do things if possible. She is also very smart, but has a mind of her own at times, she does things at a slower pace, she is a little more low keyed. She doesn't care to fetch balls, but she will sit in front of u all day catching balls taking turns with her sister Mayson. Mylea is my alarm clock, she gets me up every morning @ 5 sharp, sometimes 4:30. Once in a great while she gets me up in the middle of the night because either her sister is at the door needing to go out or Bentley her feline brother needs to come in, if he got left out. Like I said she is very caring she has a big heart.

What is your dog’s dock dog jumping experience (if any)?

This now our 3rd year of jumping. Mylea just started jumping off the dock the end of last year, so she is still pretty cautious , but I have faith she will soon be a competitor. Mylea doesn't play fetch on land but loves to fetch in the water. Mayson has been jumping for 3 years, PB. is 16'02", she absolutely is obsessed with the water, she is ball driven on land, but wants nothing to do with it in the water, so she doesn't jump for anything, she just jumps in for fun with no ball/toy.

What would your dog tell his/her friends about you?

That I am their human and no one else's. And I do everything they want at any time.
